About this Workshop:

Woodcut is considered to be one of the earliest of all printmaking methods. This 6-hour intro woodcut workshop will demonstrate and cover the following techniques through hands-on demonstrations: carving techniques, registration, color mixing with oil-based ink, and pressing a print. Students are encouraged to design their own 4″ x 6” image before the workshop. Participants will carve a birch plywood block and can expect to complete a small edition of their color prints.

Level: Intermediate: Introduction to Relief Printmaking, or similar experience with relief printmaking (6-hours) is required.

Registration closes November 20, 2023. Material fees are included with your registration to cover the supplies provided in class. Students may/will need to gather/purchase additional materials for class (see the materials list below). This list will also be provided with the registration confirmation email.
