About this Workshop:
Let’s get pulpy! In this Make+Take, we’ll use handy dandy pour molds to create unique handmade paper. We will play with different textures and colors by adding flowers, threads, leaves or any other natural or man-made objects that can be added to the paper. You just need your creativity to develop beautifully designed paper that you can use for other projects or share with others.
Level: Beginner – no experience necessary
Registration closes November 21, 2023 and includes all materials.

CLASS MATERIALS LIST:
Registration includes all needed materials for class. Students are advised to bring the following optional materials:
- Personal apron (waterproof or even cooking apron) – we’ll have extras
- Shoes with good tread that can take some water (the studio floor will get wet!)
- A collection of materials to create texture: leaves, flowers, paper scraps, string, and other flat, decorative items. The instructor will provide more detailed instructions on what you can collect.
YOUR INSTRUCTOR:
Selene LaMarca is a graphic designer and fine artist working in the Baltimore-Washington metropolitan area. She creates experimental photographic work, often through by-passing the standard camera to work directly with light sensitive materials. LaMarca earned her BFA in Graphic Design from the University of Maryland Baltimore County. She currently teaches courses in graphic design, darkroom and digital photography.
