About this Workshop:

Join us for a fun evening playing with pulp! You’ll learn the basic techniques needed to cast paper pulp to create lightweight relief sculptures and experiment with both sheet casting and pouring methods. Handmade and everyday objects will be used as molds. Pigments and inclusions will be incorporated to enhance the texture of our paper sculptures. This is a great introduction to sculptural papermaking for anyone interested in pushing pulp into the third dimension!

Level: Beginner – no experience necessary

Registration closes February 7, 2023 and includes all materials.

CLASS MATERIALS LIST:

Registration includes all needed materials! Students may consider bringing the following optional supplies:

  • Personal Apron (waterproof is best, but a kitchen apron will do)
  • Shoes with good traction (again, waterproof is best – the studio floor does get wet)
