About this Workshop:
Join us as we use simple presses—and in some cases no ink—to communicate using impressions of text on paper. You’ll take away a souvenir of your efforts in blind embossing! No homework and no experience necessary. Just bring yourself and get ready to have some fun.
Level: Beginner – no experience necessary!
Registration closes September 12, 2022 and includes all materials.

Registration includes all the materials you’ll need for class. Additional you may want to consider bringing the following optional supplies:
- Personal apron (or wear clothes that can get inky)
- Pencil and paper if you want to take notes
YOUR INSTRUCTOR:
Elisabeth Boerwinkel is a printmaker and illustrator from the Netherlands, currently living and working in Washington DC. She was most recently a Keyholder Resident for Fall/Winter 2021. Pulling her first prints in 2015 she fell in love with copperplate etching straight away. Later she wandered into a letterpress studio in Amsterdam and got obsessed with wood, metal, and heavy machinery. You can find her in the letterpress studio smelling the ink.
