Let’s roll out ink and print some pumpkins! In this 2-hour in-person class, you will learn how to ink and print on a cotton bag and paper using a relief PUMPKIN block which is pre-carved on wood/linoblock. When the class is over, you’ll have learned all the basic printing techniques plus have a Halloween Pumpkin bag to take home!

Jun Lee is a printmaker who works in large format woodcut utilizing animals as metaphors to convey competition in our daily lives. Lee is a DC Art Bank Grant recipient from 2019–2022, awarded by the Government of DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities. She was the Printmaking Artist in Residence at the Lee Arts Center (VA, 2014–2021), Montgomery College Takoma Park/Silver Spring (MD, 2018), the winter resident at Penland School of Crafts (NC, 2017–2020), and the Denbo Fellow at Pyramid Atlantic Art Center (MD, 2017). Lee attended the Minneapolis College of Art & Design where she earned a BFA in Illustration in 2002, and a Post Baccalaureate in Printmaking in 2004. In 2007, She received her MFA in Print Media from Cranbrook Academy of Art in Bloomfield Hills, MI. Lee’s work has been exhibited nationally and internationally and she has taught printmaking classes at multiple locations.
