About this Workshop:
Join us for a fun evening working with letters and maps! Students will print a word of small saying on recycled maps that have been cut into 12”x18” sheets. They will then have them framed using recycled wood to create magnetic hanging frames.
Level: Beginner – no experience necessary
Registration closes July 11, 2023 and all materials are provided.

CLASS MATERIALS LIST:
Registration includes all materials—just come ready to have fun! In addition, you may want to bring the following optional items for class:
- Personal apron (we’ll have extras of your can wear clothes that can get inky)
- Notepad/Sketchbook and pencil to sketch and take any notes
YOUR INSTRUCTOR:
Sara Blumberg loves creating designs through all aspects of letterpress printing. She fell in love with the art after taking an introductory printing class at Pyramid two years ago. During the day Sara works as a design and content strategist at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Md. focusing on ocean missions. Most evenings you can find her making new designs or trying new color combinations in the studio. Before letterpress, Sara worked as a journalist in Baltimore.
