Ready to move beyond a one-color screenprint? In this silkscreen workshop, you will learn to design and register multi-layer prints. You will use overlapping layers to expand the color range of a print and continue to explore screenprint’s creative possibilities.
Level: Intermediate—Introduction to Screenprinting on Paper (6-hour workshop) or similar screenprinting experience is required.
Registration closes December 3, 2023. Material fees are included with your registration to cover the supplies provided in class. Students will need to gather/purchase additional materials for class (see the materials list below). This list will also be provided with the registration confirmation email.
Registration includes a $60 materials fee to cover consumable materials, including ink, tape, newsprint, emulsion and cleaners. It also covers the purchase of a new screen for you to take home to continue experimenting with multi-color layerings. In addition, students are requested to bring the following items:
Adi Segal is a multidisciplinary artist working at the intersection of visual arts and community. She started at Pyramid as a Keyholder Resident and stayed on to serve a term as a Screenprint Associate. She holds a BFA in printmaking and photography from SUNY Purchase, and a BA in art history and education from Brown University.
