Are you interested in taking screenprinting on fabric to the next level? In this workshop, you will learn how to register and print multiple colors, how to mix transparent base into ink to create overlays of color, and how to ‘unhinge’ the screen and print large. You will leave with 2 yards of bespoke printed fabric, a screen of your own, and the skills to do it again.
Level: Intermediate—Introduction to Screenprinting on Fabric (or Paper) or similar screenprinting experience (6 hours) is required.
Registration extended to June 17, 2024. Material fees are included with your registration to cover the supplies provided in class. Students will need to gather/purchase additional materials for class (see the materials list below). This list will also be provided with the registration confirmation email.
Registration includes a $60 materials fee to cover consumable materials, including ink, tape, newsprint, emulsion and cleaners. It also covers the purchase of a new screen for you to take home to continue experimenting with multi-color layerings. Students will also need to supply additional materials of their own, including:
