About this Workshop:

Turkish paper marbling is a method of aqueous surface design, which can produce patterns similar to marble or other stone, hence the name, “Ebru.” This workshop will provide a survey of major patterns and styles of paper marbling using Turkish materials. The use of a stylus will be used to manipulate patterns and create designs within the surface of the water. Patterns covered include the three major ebru styles: battal, tiger eye, and hatip. You’ll leave the workshop with a variety of new decorative papers, as well as the skills to keep practicing.

Level: All levels welcome – no previous experience necessary

Registration extended through January 20, 2023. Material fees are included with your registration to cover the materials provided in class, though a list of additional items needed to be gathered/purchased will be sent with your confirmation.
