Let’s get print-happy! Need an inexpensive way to practice techniques or work on your project in the studio? Want to meet other local screenprinters and see what they are working on? Screenprint “Happy Hour” is a hands-on, open studio session providing space to work and access to supplies (including the darkroom) in the interest of learning and practice. A Screenprinting Associate will be on hand to monitor and answer general questions. Certification in the studio is required in addition to your RSVP.
Happy Hours are not suitable for printing large editions or for one-on-one instruction. Happy Hour registrations close at noon the day of the session. For last minute openings/accommodations, please call: 301-608-9101. No walk-ins will be accepted.
Health and Safety Policy:
(Updated April 1, 2022): Pyramid values the health and wellbeing of our artists, teachers, students, staff, and visitors. At this time, we are choosing to remain more conservative than many local ordinances and continue to require mask wearing in all public spaces in the building.
Taking an in-person class at Pyramid has potential for close physical contact between students and teachers. As part of our commitment to providing a safe work environment and reducing the potential exposure or transmission of Covid-19, students participating in in-person workshops must provide 1) proof of an up-to-date vaccination status on the first day of class, including any booster dose(s) when eligible or 2) proof of recent negative Covid-19 test results (within 72 hrs). If you are unable to provide these documents when checking in for class, please contact the front desk for a health screening questionnaire.
The CDC has guidelines on what “up-to-date” means and Pyramid will follow those recommendations when checking vaccine cards. Please note that Pyramid does not keep health records on individuals and you will be asked to show your proof of vaccination at the start of each workshop. Pyramid will offer a full refund to anyone at any time if they feel unwell or that they may put others at risk of exposure. Please contact us with any additional questions or concerns.
