Parking and Transportation
Pyramid does not own the parking lot in the rear of our building. However, it is open to artists and visitors for free on weekdays starting at 6pm and all day on weekends (despite the Minority Access signage).
There are also metered lots next to the Post Office and Franklin’s Restaurant. Meters apply Monday-Saturday, 8am-8pm. The parking rate is $0.50/hour. There is non-permit residential street parking on some neighboring streets. If you park in a residential permit parking zone, you are limited to two hours. For more information, review Hyattsville’s Downtown Parking Map here.
PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION: Getting to Pyramid by Metro? Allow plenty of time. Use the GREEN LINE and take it to the West Hyattsville Station. Go to BUS BAY E to catch the F8 bus going in the direction of Cheverly Station. According to the WMATA Trip Planner, it is about 10 minutes from the train station to the Baltimore Avenue and Gallatin Street stop.

Waitlists and Requests
When a workshop is sold out, join the class waitlist by contacting Jen Sheckels. If seats are added, we will contact those on the waitlist in the order in which they joined the list. In addition, if a new class is added to the schedule due to demand, those on the waitlist are given first dibs at registration.
Don’t see a class you’ve been waiting to take? Request it by emailing Jen Sheckels! We’ll let you know as soon as it’s added to our schedule.
