Suminagashi-style paper marbling is the centuries-old process of painting on water. Ink is floated on the water’s surface and swirled around using breath and brushes. Paper is set on top of the water’s surface, resulting in swirling patterns and organic designs. In this Zoom+Make, you learn about methods and materials and explore ways to create a variety of designs. The paper marbling process is perfect for all makers and learners, especially those just beginning to explore creative practices.
Registration closes February 6, 2022 to allow time for students to gather/purchase their materials. With your registration you’ll receive the full materials list (with helpful links) to purchase your items, any helpful handouts about the process, as well as a quick 1-page “how-to” on downloading and using the Zoom video app.
