About this Workshop:
Perfect for painters and printmakers alike, this using watercolor paint in monotype printmaking offers a fresh way to explore color and mark-making in a one-of-a-kind print. This workshop explores the delicate and fluid possibilities of monotype printmaking using watercolour paints. Participants will paint directly onto a processed plexiglass plate, allowing the pigments to dry before transferring the image to dampened paper through the press. This process captures the subtle textures and brushwork of watercolour while introducing unique surprises of printmaking.
Students will experiment with layering, opacity, and reactivating dried pigment.
Level: Beginner – no previous experience necessary
Registration extended to October 20, 2025. Material fees are included with your registration to cover the supplies provided in class. Students may/will need to gather/purchase additional materials for class (see the materials list below). This list will also be provided with the registration confirmation email.
