About this Workshop:
Gel plates offer a multitude of options for low-tech printmaking. Whether new to gel printing or experienced, this class goes beyond making patterns and impressions to drawing and painting on the plate to create prints with specific imagery. Learn simple techniques for transferring images to the plate for printing, layering, masking and brushwork. No drawing skills are necessary, but use of personal sketches, drawings of any subject, or other source material is welcome and encouraged.
Level: Intermediate – Familiarity with acrylic painting or watercolor painting is recommended
Registration closes October 10, 2025. Material fees are included with your registration to cover the supplies provided in class. Students may/will need to gather/purchase additional materials for class (see the materials list below). This list will also be provided with the registration confirmation email.
