About this Workshop:

Oppose and defy the ordinary and mundane as we create mixed media gems utilizing an array of resist materials on gel plates. Express your personal aesthetic with mark-making, drawing, stenciling and other methods of making images and patterns using chalk and oil pastels, markers, wax crayons and other household materials. These materials resist acrylic paint and allow for textured and nuanced results for stand-alone prints or foundations for layering. Some gel plate printing experience recommended.

Level: Intermediate – Participation in the Gel Plates and More! Workshop or other similar introductory experience with gel plate printmaking (6 hours) is required.

Registration extended to July 3, 2024. Material fees are included with your registration to cover the supplies provided in class. Students may/will need to gather/purchase additional materials for class (see the materials list below). This list will also be provided with the registration confirmation email.
