Eighty-seven artists, from all over the US, Canada, France, and Japan will be featured in this exhibition celebrating the power and creative force of letterpress as a medium for artistic expression. Jurors Celene Aubry of Hatch Show Print (TN) and Allison Tipton of Globe Collection and Press at MICA (MD) had the difficult job of selecting from over 400 entries. The resulting show features a wide range of exciting work, including 22 artist books. Works use traditional letterpress printing and also showcase interesting techniques from inkless pressure printing to linocut blocks reconfigured to be used on a letterpress machine.
