About this Workshop:

If you like the idea of using all or mostly magazine images to create collages that tell a story, then this workshop will provide a wealth of imagery and ideas for executing your own pieces. For many of us, magazine collage was the first form of collage we were exposed to, along with the rich array of possibilities using existing imagery. It also harkens back to the irreverent tradition of the pioneer artist Hannah Hoch, the only female member of the Dada artist movement in post WWI Germany. It’s an opportunity to walk down the path of surrealism, political commentary, or any number of other subjects of your choosing.

Level: Beginner – no experience necessary!

Registration closes October 28, 2025. Material fees are included with your registration to cover the supplies provided in class. Students may/will need to gather/purchase additional materials for class (see the materials list below). This list will also be provided with the registration confirmation email.
