About this Workshop:

Monotype is a versatile form of printmaking that is easily accessible for beginners while allowing for limitless experimentation for those with some experience. Together we’ll look at the historical roots of this approach, then ink up our own plates and experiment with mark-making. Whether you draw into the ink with simple tools or create painterly marks using a brush, you’ll soon discover that there are many ways to approach this technique—and will want to try them all!

In this Make+Take, you will learn how to remove the light areas of your composition, which will result in an illuminated and richly colored print.

Level: Beginner – no experience required

Registration closes March 10, 2026 and includes all necessary materials.
