If you like painting and drawing, you’ll love trying screenprinting with watercolors! In this Make+Take, you’ll learn how to use water-based crayons, colored pencils, and watercolors to create transparent color blends and layered screenprints. You’ll also learn how to design and create stencils and how to set up the screen for printing. With hands-on practice, you’ll create a collection of unique watercolor prints on paper, reflecting your artistic vision.
Level: Beginner – no experience necessary

Jeanette M. Bolden is a visual artist and printmaker based in Mount Rainier, Maryland. As a student, Bolden received The Washington Print Club’s 2021 Young Printer Award and was featured in the fall 2021 issue of On Paper: Journal of The Washington Print Club. In the summer of 2022, Bolden interned at Pyramid Atlantic Art Center and co-taught the Hispanic Heritage Month Internship Program. Toward the end of her academic program at the University of Maryland, she participated in the Honor Thesis and Senior Exhibition. Having graduated with a B.A. in studio arts as an honor student,she participated in the Exercises for Emerging Artists program by Transformer Gallery in 2023.
