Time to get inky! You want to make prints, but not quite ready to get certified for access to the studio printing press? Need a DIY option for proofing on the go? In this Make+Take workshop, bring your pre-carved linoleum blocks and explore a range of budget-friendly press options. From compact designs to DIY solutions, you’ll test out different tools to find the one that fits your needs.
You’ll leave with a small collection of impressions and practical knowledge to help you decide on the perfect home press setup. Ideal for printmakers ready to expand their practice!
Level: Beginner – no previous experience required!

Gloria Ann Shows is a Filipino-American artist specializing in printmaking, fiber art, and book art. Her work has been featured in museums and galleries nationwide, including the Pizzuti Collection of the Columbus Museum of Art (OH), Turner Center for the Arts (GA), Davis Fine Arts Gallery (WV), the University of North Florida’s Gallery of Art, and Ruddell Gallery at Black Hills State University (SD). She has received grants from the Ohio Arts Council, The Ohio State University, and the Oklahoma Visual Arts Coalition, and her awards include the Best in Traditional Techniques Award from the Oklahoma Printmaking Network and the Curator’s Choice Award at the Collect:Connect Exhibition. Shows is a member of Southern Graphics Council International and Mid America Print Council.
