Using a variety of recycled, handmade, and decorative papers, participants will learn how to make three styles of paper beads. By the end of this Make+Take, you will understand what tools and materials are needed to make paper beads and will have a lovely bracelet to take home!
Level: All levels welcome!

Marta Pérez García was born and grew up in Puerto Rico. She has an MFA from the Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia and has lived in Washington, DC for more than 10 years. Marta mainly works in printmaking, but also works in drawing, painting, and installations. Her pieces have been exhibited in galleries and museums in the United States and Puerto Rico, and she’s received numerous grants and awards. Marta is deeply involved with the arts and their propagation in the communities of the District through the teaching and direction of public art projects.
