About this Workshop:
Want to learn how to make book structures without any sewing or glue? In this fun-filled class we will make three different book structures, each from a single sheet of paper! You will learn how to make a four section booklet, a fishbone fold, and a triangular book.
Level: Beginner—No experience necessary!
Registration extended to April 12, 2025 and all materials are provided.

CLASS MATERIALS LIST:
Registration includes all materials—just come ready to have fun! In addition, you may want to bring the following items for class:
- (optional) Personal apron (we’ll have extras) or wear clothes that can get a little messy
- (optional) Notepaper and pen to take notes if you like
YOUR INSTRUCTOR:
Krista Sharp, a native Oklahoman and a member of the Cherokee Nation, has lived and worked in the Washington, D.C. area for over 23 years. She is a book artist and an award-winning graphic and web designer currently working at the Smithsonian Institution. In 2016, Krista graduated from Corcoran School of Art and Design with a Master of Arts degree in Art and the Book. Her book and print work uses multiple printmaking processes and explores unique structural elements. Krista’s art can be seen in many collections and institutions across the country including the Art Institute of Chicago’s Flaxman Library, the Bainbridge Island Museum of Art, and the Smithsonian’s Dibner Library.
