About this Workshop:

Come out for a fun evening to see what letterpress is all about! You’ll get an overview of the process then get a chance to experience printing mini posters on our proofing presses. At the end of the evening, you’ll leave with a small edition of mini posters you printed yourself! Perfect to keep or share with friends as gifts.

Level: All levels welcome!

Registration closes November 8, 2022 and includes all materials.

  • Personal apron (we’ll have extras handy though!)
  • Pen and paper for any note-taking

YOUR INSTRUCTOR:

Elisabeth Boerwinkel is a printmaker and illustrator from the Netherlands, currently living and working in Washington DC. She was most recently a Keyholder Resident for Fall/Winter 2021. Pulling her first prints in 2015 she fell in love with copperplate etching straight away. Later she wandered into a letterpress studio in Amsterdam and got obsessed with wood, metal, and heavy machinery. You can find her in the letterpress studio smelling the ink. Her work can be viewed @elisabeth_kunegonde on Instagram.
