About this Workshop:

Students will get an overview of the letterpress process then, using antique wood type, literally flip the script and print both sides of the type using a Vandercook press. At the end of the Make+Take, all students will leave with a small edition of prints in two colors.

Level: Beginner—no experience necessary

Registration closes January 7, 2025 and all materials are provided.

CLASS MATERIALS LIST:

Registration includes all materials—just come ready to have fun! In addition, you may want to bring the following items for class:

  • (optional) Personal apron (we’ll have extras) and/or wear clothes that can get inky
  • (optional) Pen and paper for any note-taking
  • A favorite word, name, or short phrase you’d like to try to print

Note: For your safety we also recommend short sleeves only, close-toed shoes, and that long hair be tied back.
