It may be summer, but we are keeping it cool in the bindery with blizzard books. Join us to learn how to make the basic blizzard binding structure. This binding has many variations and uses which we will also explore throughout the evening.
Level: Beginner – No experience is necessary!

Krista Sharp, a native Oklahoman and a member of the Cherokee Nation, has lived and worked in the Washington, D.C. area for over 23 years. She is a book artist and an award-winning graphic and web designer currently working at the Smithsonian Institution. In 2016, Krista graduated from Corcoran School of Art and Design with a Master of Arts degree in Art and the Book. Her book and print work uses multiple printmaking processes and explores unique structural elements. Krista’s art can be seen in many collections and institutions across the country including the Art Institute of Chicago’s Flaxman Library, the Bainbridge Island Museum of Art, and the Smithsonian’s Dibner Library.
