Let’s Make the 2023 Letterpress Calendar!

Call for Printers, New & Experienced

Pyramid Atlantic is looking for artists currently working in letterpress or with an interest in letterpress printing to help create a beautiful editioned hand-printed calendar. Pyramid’s letterpress calendar is an annual letterpress showcase and fundraiser designed and printed by volunteer artists.  Each printer designs and prints a month, either individually or in collaboration with another printer. In exchange for participation, artists will receive 2 calendars and volunteer hours/credit.

We are looking for 13-15 artists for the 2023 calendar. Collabs and teams of 2 are welcome to apply! Ideally, artists will already be certified in Pyramid’s Letterpress Studio; however, we are willing to train up to 3 artists who are interested in letterpress but need some additional support to execute their page.

Calendar specs:

• The calendar page size is 4.25 inches wide and 11 inches tall
• Designs are limited to 2 colors
• Artists will print 250 copies
• Paper, ink, and press time are supplied by Pyramid
• Printers can use type from the typeshop or polymer plates (printers who use polymer plates are responsible for purchasing them)
• Printing should be done in the letterpress studio at Pyramid
• Prints will be due in October
