Want an inexpensive way to practice your sheet forming skills in the studio? Want to meet other papermakers and see what they are working on? Then let’s get pulpy! Papermaking “Happy Hour” is an open studio session where pulp, moulds and deckles, and the press are prepared and waiting to be put to use. A Papermaking Associate will be available to monitor and answer questions. Recent papermaking experience and RSVP are required.
Happy Hours are not suitable for making large sheets, prepping your own pulp, or for one-on-one instruction. For one-on-one instruction, please visit our lessons page. Happy Hour registrations close at noon the day of the session. For last minute openings/accommodations, please call: 301-608-9101. No walk-ins will be accepted.
