Sasha Baskin’s weaving and drawing work explores the intersection of craft and classical rendering. She uses traditional weaving and lacemaking processes in combination with source imagery from reality television to address the intersections between analog and digital technologies. Transitioning to craft and studying weaving, natural dyes, and ikat dye resist processes, she received her Master of Fine Arts from VCU in 2018. Her exhibition record includes solo, two-person, and group shows at Blue Spiral Gallery in Asheville NC, IS Projects in Ft Lauderdale FL, and the Visual Arts Center in Austin TX.
