CLASS MATERIALS LIST:

Registration includes a $15 materials fee to cover consumable materials provided in class, including indigo dye, soda ash, pvc pipe, twine, and bags for transporting dyed pieces. Students should also gather/purchase the following items for class:

  • Personal apron (we’ll have extras). Students are encouraged to wear black clothing/clothes you don’t mind staining with indigo dye
  • Notepad and pen for taking notes
  • At least 20 pieces of 100% cotton or linen fabric. Picking up a few yards of cotton muslin from a fabric store is the most economical choice. You can also bring t-shirts too.
  • A pair of long gloves (example)
