About this Workshop:
This 2-day workshop intensive will cover the fundamentals of letterpress printing, including how to hand-set type, carve and print relief blocks, and operate a Vandercook press. We will design and produce both one-color and two-color prints that combine text and image as we explore the dynamic relationship between the two in print form, and how, together, they create a unique visual language.
Whether you’re a curious beginner or seeking a refresher, this workshop is designed for all skill levels. By the end of the course, students will have a solid foundation in letterpress printing and walk away with original prints (and a finished relief block) that showcase their unique creative voice.
Level: Beginner – No prior experience is needed. This workshop is perfect for beginners or those looking to refresh their skills.
Registration closes June 20, 2025. Material fees are included with your registration to cover the supplies provided in class. Students may/will need to gather/purchase additional materials for class (see the materials list below). This list will also be provided with the registration confirmation email.
