Community Print: Reproductive Rights

July 9, 2022

Printmaking has historically been an important vehicle to expose injustice, promote democracy, and bring about social change.

Several artists at Pyramid have crafted phrases important to them to support reproductive rights. Using this language, Artist Sarah Matthews has designed Letterpress Posters, which will be given out FREE to the community. A small batch of the posters will be available Saturday morning for those who are attending the DC March. The larger batch will be available for pick-up starting on Sunday during Pyramid’s public hours.

Saturday afternoon, the public is then invited to help artists print the remaining posters to be used to provoke change anywhere – whether at a rally, march, or a living room window. Reserve a time here to print posters with Pyramid artists.

Any remaining prints will be available for FREE to the public starting on Sunday. To request quantities over 5, please email create@pyramid-atlantic.org.

About Community Prints:

Pyramid as an organization honors the traditions of printmaking, which include promoting free speech and democracy.  As long as it isn’t hate speech, we support many views and voices. The impetus and content of each Community Print comes from artists, community members, and volunteers. The printing itself uses volunteer printers under the guidance of a volunteer printmaker. The views expressed with these prints to not represent all of the community at Pyramid in the same way they do not represent all of the community in America. If you would like to discuss content or have a need for an upcoming community print, please email ktdavis@pyramid-atlantic.org.
