Printmaking has historically been an important vehicle to expose injustice, promote democracy, and bring about social change. This Wednesday, Pyramid will be using its Letterpress Studio to help raise awareness about gun violence.

The public is invited to help artists print posters and cards to be used to provoke change, whether that is at a rally, march, or a living room window.

Any remaining prints will be available for FREE to the public starting on Thursday. To request quantities over 5, please email create@pyramid-atlantic.org.

About Community Prints:

Pyramid as an organization honors the traditions of printmaking, which include promoting free speech and democracy.  As long as it isn’t hate speech, we support many views and voices. The impetus and content of each Community Print comes from artists, community members, and volunteers. The printing itself uses volunteer printers under the guidance of a volunteer printmaker. The views expressed with these prints to not represent all of the community at Pyramid in the same way they do not represent all of the community in America. If you would like to discuss content or have a need for an upcoming community print, please email ktdavis@pyramid-atlantic.org.
