Pyramid Atlantic is seeking artists currently working in letterpress to help create a beautiful hand-printed editioned calendar. The Pyramid Letterpress Calendar is an annual letterpress showcase and fundraiser designed and printed by volunteer artists. Each printer will design and print a month, either individually or in collaboration with another printer. Participating artists will receive one calendar and volunteer hours/credits towards a class or studio rental.

Ideally, artists should already be certified in Pyramid’s Letterpress Studio. However, we will certify up to three artists with letterpress experience.

Specifications:

• Calendar page size: 4.25 inches wide by 11 inches tall
• Designs must include at least two colors
• Artists will print 300 copies
• Printers must use type from the type shop and/or carve their lino blocks—no polymer plates
• Pyramid will supply paper, ink, and press time
• Printing must be done in the letterpress studio at Pyramid

Dates: Prints are due by October 15, 2024. The “Letterpress Calendar Collate and Package” party will be on Tuesday, October 29th at 4 PM.
