About this Workshop:

Learn to make trays and boxes … for the fun of it! If you enjoyed the original, you’ll love this bigger, more practical version of the Bijou Box. In this class, students will learn from a kit while exploring the basic principles of box making. Whether you’ve taken the original Bijou box class or this is your first box making class, you’ll enjoy covering the box and its parts with decorative paper to make it your own. Each box is unique and one-of-a-kind gift—perfect to keep small treasures or share as a gift with friends.

Level: Beginner – no experience necessary!

Registration extended to April 17, 2026 and all materials are provided.

Registration includes a $12 materials fee which covers all of the needed materials—just come ready to have fun! In addition, you may want to bring the following optional items for class, (though we’ll have options on hand):

  • (optional) Any preferred personal tools: metal ruler, bone folder, break-off utility knife, scissors, glue brush, and small right angle
  • (optional) Personal apron (we’ll have extras) or wear clothes that can get messy
  • (optional) Pencil and notebook to take notes
  • (optional) Decorative papers from your personal stash you might like to incorporate
  • (optional) Any 2D or 3D decorative elements to embellish your box, such as stickers, ribbon, buttons, tiny animals, dice, etc.
