One on one workshops are a great opportunity to cater your instruction to your interests. For those who are new to binding, we will cover all the basics, including appropriate materials and tools, qualities of paper, and the different properties of various adhesives. A typical introduction course will include a variety of structures such as a pamphlet stitch, accordion, and a Japanese stab binding. You will be able to leave with several binding styles under your belt, and the knowledge of how to adapt these three structures to make your own notebooks, journals, or albums. For those who already have some experience in bookbinding, a one on one is a great place to learn a more complicated binding structure or receive assistance tailored to a specific project. Registration includes a brief consultation (by phone or email) with the instructor before the lesson.
